When it comes to the Ford
Mustang, the name is readily recognizable. Every year, Ford makes sure that
every model comes with enough monstrosity and power to win the hearts of avid
Mustang followers. The 2012 Ford Mustang Coupe is no different. In fact, it is
probably one of the most chic Mustang models of all time, with all the perks it
has to offer.
Experience All the Power
There are three engine options
that users get. The first is the base all-aluminum 3.7 liter V6 engine with
dual overhead cams (DOHC) and Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing
(Ti-VCT). This technology makes the engine produce up to 305 horsepower and 280
lb-ft of torque.
Fuel economy is at 19 mpg on city
roads and 29 mpg on highway roads with manual transmission, and 19 mpg on city
roads and 31 mpg on highway roads with the automatic transmission. The good
part is that the fuel economy is maintained at the same rate as most four
cylinder cars.
The second engine option is a 5.0
liter DOHC V8 with 412 horsepower, 390 lb-ft of torque. City mpg is 17 and
highway mpg is 26 with manual transmission, and with the automatic
transmission, you get 18 mpg on city roads and 25 mpg on highway roads.
For that extra kick of power,
users also get a 5.4 liter supercharged V8 engine option that produces up to
550 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque. It’s fuel consumption is pegged at 15
mpg on city roads and 23 mpg on highway roads.
