The death of the Lincoln Town Car and the Cadillac DTS left a huge void
in the American luxury car market. Fortunately for lovers and followers of the
segment, the Cadillac XTS has been more than willing and able to fill the gap.
Though the vehicle isn’t as big as the aforementioned out-of-production
vehicles, the 2013 Cadillac XTS is as big as any GM-made car in this day and
age. This means that the wheelbase isn’t very wide, but despite this setback,
the vehicle does provide ample legroom for its rear passengers. Those looking
for a spacious storage area will appreciate the deep 18.0 cubic-foot trunk.
If its quality infotainment system you’re looking for, then the 2013 XTS
has got you covered. At the center stack lies the CUE infotainment system that
consists of a wide touchscreen housing the audio, phone, climate, and
navigation controls. A nifty feature, the digitally displayed gauges on the top
two trims are linked to the system as well.
While technology has always been a selling point for the XTS, you’ll
also enjoy the vehicle’s superb handling. The revised shock absorbers provide
smoothness on moderately rough terrain without the added float. A tiny steering
ratio allows the vehicle to provide quick steering responses, and the
variable-effort power steering is a breeze to maneuver.
